Privacy
We collect what we need to get you into the room — not a profile to sell.
This notice is for Venue Square events in Canada. We follow PIPEDA and Alberta privacy rules. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your ticket email to pitch unrelated nights unless you ask us to.

What we collect
- Name, email, and phone when you register, buy a ticket, use a promo code, or write to us.
- Anything extra a particular event asks for — a company name, a dietary note, a question on the form.
- Payment references and status from our Interac e-Transfer partner so we can confirm the order and send an invoice. We do not store your bank login.
- A login if you use the attendee portal.
- The usual technical logs (enough to run the site, hold seats, and keep checkout secure).
Why we use it
- To hold seats, take payment, send tickets, and issue invoices.
- To tell you if a night moves, cancels, or has a check-in detail you need.
- To answer mail sent to [email protected].
- To stop fraud and to keep complimentary codes with the guests they were meant for.
- To see, in aggregate, which public event pages people actually use.
Ticket and account mail comes from [email protected]. Partners named on an event page may receive attendee names for that night’s run-of-show — badges, check-in, the door list. That is hospitality, not a mailing list we rent out.
Who sees it
We share only what the night requires: the venue and organisers for that event; our Interac e-Transfer partner to finish a paid checkout; and the mail service that delivers confirmations. We disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and the 12-minute hold
The public site and this portal use cookies or similar storage so checkout can keep your hold token, keep you signed in, and remember a promo code while the clock runs. You can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser; checkout may not finish without the hold token.
How long we keep it
Registration, invoice, and payment records stay as long as tax and accounting rules require, then we delete them or irreversibly anonymise them. Abandoned checkout holds expire and are removed. Mail to [email protected], and notes sent from the contact page, are kept long enough to answer you.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to receive a copy, subject to legal exceptions (we keep an invoice we must retain). Write to [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
